
2022 Winners !
A group of students from the Soshanguve Technical School of specialization, North of Pretoria have built a state-of-the-art train, powered exclusively by solar energy. A pilot solar locomotive that promises a travel speed of 60 kilometers per hour.
The train has 4-solarpanels, powering a 46 volt battery pack driving a large-single scale motor. The train travels within the schools railway line, with more prototypes being developed, expanding into larger, more robust adaptations of this revolutionary electrical and mechanical marvel.

Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship (SAGE) is an educational program that was founded and developed by California State University, USA and is endorsed and accredited by the University of the Free State. This incredible grassroots program was developed to instill and develop the culture of entrepreneurship in teenagers. Our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives.

STUDENTS FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP AT A GLANCE
Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship (SAGE) is an educational program that was founded and developed by California State University, USA and is endorsed and accredited by the University of the Free State.
We focus on the following:

Curriculum: The learners are given a University Business School Short Course.

Mentorship: The learners are mentored by trained program alumnus who are available throughout the year to assist them with the program business requirements as well as other business related queries.

Competition: The learners are divided into groups of a minimum of two peers and a maximum of four, who then compete amongst each other at different levels (regional, provincial and national level) to be crowed South African Teen Entrepreneur of the Year, to then represent South Africa at the Annual Global Competition (SAGE WORLD CUP).
Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words.
